KZN South Coast set to host two big events for sports and music enthusiasts!

 

The KZN South Coast continues to establish itself as a top MICE – meetings, incentives, conferences, and events – destination, with the announcement that the region is playing host to two new events. The first is the Khosathu House Jazz Club event taking place on Saturday, 23 September followed by one for the sports fans, The South Coast Cycle Tour on Sunday, 8 October.

 

“With our warm climate, fantastic venues, and natural talent, it’s no surprise that the KZN South Coast is fast becoming an in-demand events hosting destination, and we’re excited to welcome two new events to this year’s calendar,” said Phelisa Mangcu, CEO of South Coast Tourism & Investment Enterprise (SCTIE). “The first is a celebration of our rich cultural heritage and the amazing musical talent that is found here, with the second a chance to showcase the KZN South Coast’s great biking routes for our outdoor sports enthusiasts.”

 

Khosathu House Jazz Club Presents a Tribute to Bra Bona Nzimande

Enjoy a day out being entertained by some of the region’s best Jazz DJs and performing Jazz musicians as the Khosathu House Jazz Club puts on its tribute performance for legendary Bra Bona Nzimande. The programme lineup welcomes some top names, among them Bra Mack Ngcobo (the Legend), Bra Ken Mavundla, Bra Malusi, DJ Sgede, Method Sidande, Bra Madondo, Bra Msheddys, Banele Mpisane, and Bra Vusi Sifunda.

 

South Coast Cycle Tour

 

Date: Sunday, 8 October

Times: 6.30am for 90km and 7am for 45km

Venue: Shelly Boulevard Centre, Shelly Beach

Cost: R500 for 90km pre-entry, and R600 for 90km late entry; R350 for 45km pre-entry and R450 for 45km late entry.

eBikes and mountain bikes are welcome on this epic road cycling race which will have full road closures for both race distances – 90km eBike and mountain bike, and 45km eBike and mountain bike. This is a great opportunity to experience the beautiful KZN South Coast while taking on a fantastic cycling challenge.

 

The region is also known for its many nature-based hiking and cycling trails, and, with 11 quality golf courses found throughout the KZN South Coast, the ‘Golf Coast’ remains a favourite destination for both leisure and MICE events! The subtropical climate and diverse natural landscape also set the scene for the ultimate in agri-tourism and extreme adventure.
