MAJOR BUSINESSES THROW THEIR WEIGHT BEHIND THE MUNICIPALITY’S MOTHER OF ALL CLEAN-UPS
MAJOR Durban businesses will get their hands dirty on Thursday, 16 March, as they throw their weight behind eThekwini Municipality’s Mother of All Clean-ups. The campaign is aimed at keeping the City clean and fighting crime. It was launched by eThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda at the beginning of the year.
Automobile dealership BMW uMhlanga, telecommunication giants MTN South Africa, Being Norma and The Edge are the latest businesses to heed Mayor Kaunda’s clarion call for businesses to join hands with the Municipality and wage war on crime and grime in the City.
The Mother of All Clean-ups is already yielding the intended results as residents have begun to notice the difference in the CBD and secondary towns.
